Intelligence in Transportation & other systems

It may be looking at 20 years into the future and also the adaptability of such intelligence to Indian conditions is questionable, never the less, let me cite some abstract ideas:

Before these concepts, one needs to keep these words in italics in mind :

The expensive and inexpensive still could be a relative term as in you spend the same amount of money that you spend on your car to drive from Yelhanka - Electronic city and it would be termed expensive. The government can bank upon the sheer volume of traffic to compensate for their treasuries without a loss. The wiser ones would though choose to use intelligent networks as it leaves them with more money and hence the income : expenditure ratio automatically shoot up. This essentially means that they could afford a better standard of living .

1. Use your car or any vehicle to travel to your short distance ( Ex: Jayanagar – Majestic ) destinations and it works really well and inexpensive. Use them on a normal day for long distances and the toll will eat up the benefits you had. On a weekend or holidays, such tolls can be rebated and weekend trips become all of a sudden affordable. The beautifully laid six lane highways are a must for collecting a toll though. Still, the option is available for the highly affordable ones and in case of emergencies.

2. Traveling around to the corners of the city with public transportation like a metro, bus or an ELRTS should be inexpensive and affordable. For traveling longer distances, one ends up spending serious money. Providing multiple carriers distributes it among the different carriers and provides breathing space.

3. High speed rails and fast buses between closer cities like Mysore-Bangalore so that it can be done in 45 mins flat could be affordable, but travelling Bangalore - Gulbarga could still be expensive, but an open option for the affordables.

4. Bullet trains for travel between not so close cities ( For ex: Bangalore - Davangere ) in 1 hour flat can be extremely affordable, but traveling in those for short distances ( For ex: Electronic City to Majestic ) could be expensive, but still an open option for affordable.

5. Use a flight for travel within the state and it turns out very expensive, but travel outside the state and it can be very cheap. Again the numbers would compensate for the total turnover.

Now, design of such intelligence systems are a completely different topic and would need expertise in town development and transportation networking to debate and argue over this before reaching a consensus, but these ideas are just to give a direction.

What we could aim with such a system is a well networked cities, distributed towns and cities development that means lesser real estate booms and lesser inflations and a better standard of living, retaining democratic principles like “ If I can afford I will travel any way”, avoiding sentiments like “ Outsiders have ruined my city” etc etc etc .

Your opinions please.

I wish all these can happen .. But no hope in India as our politicians are busy making money...

Hey, here is a crazy idea of travelling long distances. Using HOT AIR BALOONS!!! Packup with very essential stuffs like oxygen kit, water etc etc and sit in hot air baloon. move to a height in space so that there is no gravitational force*. Hold-on for few hours (this duration should be pre calculated). Then come down(if possible!!). Then you are at your destiny.
Surprised??
This is how it works...
When U move out of earth's atmosphere, no forces of earth will be acting on you. So you will reamin in still positon and earth continues to rotate. If you come down after 12hrs you will be exactly at the other side of the globe!
got it??

Sounds crazy na...But everything is at travellers risk! I wanna try this when am near to end of my life..

*Conditions apply:
Am not responsible if you dint come back. Theory of going out of Earth's atmosphere in Hot Air Baloon still remains a theory.
